Our attorneys regularly counsel hospitals, health maintenance organizations (HMOs), nursing facilities, physicians, and other health care providers on medical staff credentialing, peer review, quality improvement, and medical staff governance issues.  Our attorneys have represented hospitals and physicians in credentialing disputes and peer review actions, including medical staff hearings and appeals.  We have also prepared medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations, as well policies and standard operating procedures designed to minimize liability risks.  Our attorneys have prepared and negotiated hundreds of hospital-based physician agreements for hospitals and physicians, including the specialties of anesthesiology, radiology, pathology, and emergency medicine.

We also regularly advise hospitals and physicians regarding recruitment matters to assure compliance with the Stark Law and regulations.
